Oktoberfest Pork Stew

A hearty and flavorful pork stew perfect for an Oktoberfest celebration. Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 2-3 hours
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 kg pork meat (e.g., shoulder or neck)
- 2 onions
- 2 garlic cloves
- 3 potatoes
- 3 carrots
- 1 dl dark beer
- 2 dl beef broth
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 2 tbsp oil
Instructions:
1. Peel and chop the onions, garlic, potatoes, and carrots.
2. Cut the pork into cubes.
3. Heat the oil in an oven-safe pot and brown the pork on all sides.
4. Add the onions and garlic to the pot and sauté for a moment.
5. Add the potatoes and carrots to the pot.
6. Mix in the beer, beef broth, mustard, honey, bay leaf, and spices.
7. Cover the pot with a lid and transfer it to the oven preheated to 150°C (302°F).
8. Let it simmer in the oven for about 2-3 hours until the meat is tender.
9. Serve the stew with sauerkraut or fresh bread.
