Creamy scalloped potatoes are rich and flavorful, making them a perfect side dish for various meat dishes.

Ingredients:
- 800 g potatoes
- 2 dl cream
- 1 dl milk
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 1 dl grated cheese (e.g., Emmental or mozzarella)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes.
2. Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves.
3. Lightly grease a baking dish.
4. Layer half of the potato slices in the baking dish, then sprinkle the chopped garlic, salt, and black pepper on top.
5. Add the remaining potato slices on top.
6. In a bowl, mix the cream and milk, then pour the mixture over the potatoes to cover them.
7. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the potatoes.
8. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 40 minutes.
9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the top is beautifully golden brown.
10. Let it rest for a moment before serving and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
