A tasty and nutritious dish perfect for both everyday meals and special occasions. Preparation time is about 45 minutes, serving size is 4.Ingredients:
- 4 large bell peppers (red or yellow)- 300 g ground meat (beef or chicken)
- 1 dl pre-cooked rice
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 dl tomato sauce
- 1 dl shredded cheese (e.g., mozzarella or cheddar)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).2. Cut the tops off the peppers and remove the seeds.
3. In a frying pan, heat some oil and add the onion and garlic. Sauté until soft.
4. Add the ground meat to the pan and cook until browned. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika powder.
5. Stir in the pre-cooked rice and half of the tomato sauce. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
6. Fill the peppers with the meat mixture and place them in a baking dish.
7. Pour the remaining tomato sauce over the peppers and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
8. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
