This delicious and hearty cheese pie combines four grains with flavorful cheese and vegetables, making it perfect for a snack or a light meal.
Ingredients
- 100 g melted butter or margarine
- 2½ dl four-grain flakes
- ½ dl bread flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 dl milk
- 3 eggs
- 200 g grated cheese (e.g., Emmental or Cheddar)
- 1 dl chopped vegetables (e.g., bell peppers or onions, optional)
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F). Grease a pie dish.
2. In a bowl, mix the melted butter, four-grain flakes, bread flour, salt, and baking powder.
3. Add the milk and eggs to the mixture and stir until smooth.
4. Pour the batter into the prepared pie dish and level the surface.
5. Sprinkle the grated cheese and chopped vegetables over the batter.
6. Season with black pepper to taste.
7. Bake in the oven for about 30-35 minutes until the pie is golden brown and firm.
8. Let it cool slightly before serving.
Serve the pie warm or at room temperature!
