Ingredients:

- 250 g macaroni (e.g., penne or elbow)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 200 ml milk
- 200 g cheddar cheese (grated)
- 100 g mozzarella cheese (grated)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- (Optional: 100 g ham or bacon, cooked and diced)

Instructions:

1. Cook the macaroni in salted water according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the flour and stir for about a minute.
3. Gradually add the milk while constantly stirring until the mixture thickens.
4. Stir in the grated cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Continue stirring until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy.
5. Season with salt and black pepper. Add the cooked macaroni and mix well.
6. (If using ham or bacon, add it now.)
7. Serve immediately.
