Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli)
- 200 g fresh broccoli
- 200 ml cream
- 100 ml grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Add the broccoli to the pasta during the last 3-4 minutes of cooking.
2. Drain the pasta and broccoli, reserving a little cooking water.
3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about one minute.
4. Pour the cream into the skillet and stir well. Bring to a gentle simmer for about 5 minutes.
5. Add the drained pasta and broccoli to the sauce. Mix well, adding reserved cooking water if the sauce is too thick.
6. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper. Mix until the cheese melts and the sauce is creamy.
7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
