A delightful bread pudding made with stale baguette, infused with the refreshing flavors of orange and cardamom. Perfect for a weekend treat that takes you on a flavor journey!Preparation Time: 30 minutes + 1 hour resting time
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 300 g stale baguette, cubed
- 4 dl milk
- 2 dl cream
- 3 eggs
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
- Zest of 1 orange
- 1 dl fresh blueberries (or frozen)
Instructions:
1. Cut the stale baguette into cubes and place them in a large bowl.
2. In a saucepan, heat the milk and cream until warm but not boiling. Pour the mixture over the baguette cubes and let it soak for about 10 minutes.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, ground cardamom, and orange zest until well combined.
4. Add the egg mixture to the soaked bread mixture and stir until smooth.
5. Gently fold in the blueberries.
6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and let it rest for about 1 hour.
7. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the bread pudding in the oven for about 30-35 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the pudding is set.
8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
