Delicious sugar-dusted doughnuts filled with apple jam, bringing sweet joy to your May Day celebrations. A perfect treat for friends and family!Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 12-15 doughnuts
Ingredients:
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 30 g fresh yeast
- 2 dl milk
- 75 g sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cardamom
- 1 egg
- 75 g melted butter
- 200 g apple jam
- Oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions:
1. Warm the milk to body temperature and dissolve the yeast in it.
2. Add sugar, salt, cardamom, egg, and melted butter. Mix well.
3. Gradually add the flour and knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
4. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 30-40 minutes.
5. Roll out the dough to about 1.5 cm thick and cut out circles.
6. Place a spoonful of apple jam in the center of each circle and seal the edges well.
7. Let the doughnuts rise for another 15-20 minutes.
8. Heat oil for frying and fry the doughnuts until golden brown on both sides.
9. Place the doughnuts on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
10. Dust the warm doughnuts with powdered sugar before serving.
