Ingredients:
- 1 cup water- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 cups ice cream (e.g., vanilla or chocolate)
- Chocolate sauce (optional)
- Whipped cream (optional)
Instructions:
1. In a saucepan, bring water, butter, and salt to a boil.2. Stir in the flour vigorously until the mixture forms a ball.
3. Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool for about 5 minutes.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
5. Heat oil in a deep pan to 180°C (350°F).
6. Pipe the dough into desired shapes of churros into the hot oil, frying for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
7. In a bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon, then roll the churros in the mixture.
8. Allow the churros to cool slightly and shape them into bowls.
9. Fill the churro bowls with ice cream and top with chocolate sauce and whipped cream if desired.
