Delicious and sweet doughnuts perfect for celebrating Vappu with friends. Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 20-25 doughnuts
Ingredients:
- 500 g all-purpose flour - 2 dl milk
- 50 g fresh yeast
- 100 g sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cardamom
- 2 eggs
- 100 g butter
- 1 l oil (for frying)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions:
1. Warm the milk until it is lukewarm and dissolve the fresh yeast in it.2. Add the sugar, salt, cardamom, and eggs. Mix well.
3. Gradually add the flour to the mixture and knead until the dough is smooth.
4. Incorporate the softened butter into the dough and knead until fully combined.
5. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 30-40 minutes.
6. Pour oil into a deep frying pot and heat it.
7. Turn the risen dough onto a floured surface and shape it into small balls.
8. Fry the doughnuts until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
9. Place the doughnuts on paper towels to drain excess oil and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
