Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 cup black beans (cooked)
- ½ cup rolled oats
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 carrot, grated
- ½ red bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika powder
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Drain the black beans and mash them with a fork or a similar tool.
2. Add the rolled oats, onion, garlic, carrot, bell pepper, soy sauce, olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika powder, and oregano to the mashed beans. Mix well.
3. Shape the mixture into patties and place them on a plate.
4. Heat some oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the patties on both sides for about 4-5 minutes until they are golden brown.
5. Serve warm, for example with a salad or bread.
