Classic grandma's pancakes, fried in plenty of butter, served with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. A perfect summer dessert! Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk - 1/2 cup water
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter (for frying)
- Fresh strawberries
- Whipped cream
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix milk, water, flour, eggs, sugar, and salt until you have a smooth batter.2. Let the batter rest at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
3. Heat a heavy-bottomed frying pan over medium heat and add butter.
4. Once the butter is melted and slightly browned, pour in the batter to form pancakes of your desired size.
5. Cook the pancakes for about 1-2 minutes on each side or until they are beautifully golden brown.
6. Serve the pancakes with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.
