A delicious macaroni casserole made with Grandma's recipe that will take your taste buds away. Perfect for a weekday dinner or a weekend treat. Preparation Time: 45 minutes
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 300 g macaroni
- 400 g ground meat (beef or pork)
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 can (400 g) crushed tomatoes
- 2 dl cooking cream
- 2 dl grated cheese
- 2 eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon oil for frying
- Fresh herbs (such as parsley or basil) for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Peel and chop the onion and garlic. Heat the oil in a frying pan and sauté the onions until soft.
3. Add the ground meat to the onions and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and let it simmer for about 5-10 minutes.
5. Combine the cooked macaroni, cooking cream, and eggs with the meat mixture. Mix well.
6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and smooth the top. Sprinkle grated cheese on top.
7. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 25-30 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
8. Let it cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs.
