A delicious chicken soup that serves as the perfect comfort food, warming both heart and body. Homemade broth gives the soup depth and flavor. Preparation Time: 1.5 hours
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 500 g chicken breast fillets - 1 liter water
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 100 g noodles (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Boil the chicken breast fillets in a pot of water for about 20 minutes until cooked. Remove the chicken from the broth and let cool for a moment. 2. In the same pot, add the carrots, celery, onion, garlic, bay leaf, salt, black pepper, and thyme. Cook for about 15 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
3. Shred the cooled chicken breast and return it to the pot. Cook for an additional 5-10 minutes.
4. If using noodles, add them to the soup and cook according to package instructions.
5. Serve the soup garnished with fresh parsley.
