Delicious Spanish doughnuts served with rich chocolate sauce, perfect for a festive treat!
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4-6 people

Ingredients:

- 2.5 dl water
- 100 g butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2.5 dl all-purpose flour
- 4 eggs
- Oil for frying

Chocolate Sauce:

- 100 g dark chocolate
- 1 dl heavy cream

Instructions:

1. In a saucepan, heat the water, butter, salt, and sugar until boiling.
2. Add the all-purpose flour and stir vigorously until the mixture pulls away from the sides of the pan.
3. Remove the saucepan from heat and let the dough cool slightly.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy.
5. Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
6. Heat oil in a deep pan to 180°C (350°F). Pipe the dough into 10 cm long strips into the hot oil and fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
7. For the chocolate sauce, melt the chocolate with the heavy cream in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until fully combined.
8. Serve the churros warm with the chocolate sauce for dipping.
