Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 100 g butter
- 2.5 dl water
- 2.5 dl all-purpose flour
- 4 eggs
- 200 g cheese (e.g., cheddar or gouda)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Champagne for serving
Instructions:
1. In a saucepan, melt the butter with water and bring to a boil.
2. Add the all-purpose flour all at once and stir vigorously until the dough pulls away from the sides of the pan.
3. Remove the pan from heat and let the dough cool slightly.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth.
5. Grate the cheese and fold it into the dough. Season with salt and black pepper.
6. Transfer the dough to a piping bag and pipe small mounds onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Bake at 200°C (392°F) for about 20-25 minutes, until the puffs are golden brown and risen.
8. Serve warm with champagne.
