A delicious cheese pie that pairs wonderfully with a fresh salad. You can use your favorite cheese, such as Emmental or Gruyère. Preparation Time: 30-60 min
Serving Size: 6-8 servings
Ingredients:
- 200 g pie crust dough
- 200 g Emmental or Gruyère cheese
- 3 dl heavy cream
- 3 eggs
- 1 dl milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- (optional: fresh herbs like parsley or thyme)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
2. Roll out the pie crust dough and line a pie dish with it. Prick the bottom with a fork.
3. Grate the cheese and spread it evenly over the dough.
4. In a bowl, mix together the cream, eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg.
5. Pour the mixture over the cheese in the pie dish.
6. Bake in the oven for about 30-40 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the filling is set.
7. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with a fresh salad.
