Ingredients:
- 800 g potatoes - 2 dl cream
- 1 dl milk
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 100 g grated cheese (e.g., Emmental or mozzarella)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh thyme (optional)
Instructions:
1. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds. 2. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
3. Lightly grease a baking dish.
4. Layer the potato slices in the baking dish.
5. In a bowl, mix the cream, milk, crushed garlic, salt, and black pepper. Pour the mixture over the potatoes.
6. Sprinkle the grated cheese evenly on top of the potatoes.
7. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the oven for about 40 minutes.
8. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 15-20 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the potatoes are cooked through.
9. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh thyme if desired.
