A delicious and nutritious dish that combines liver, rice, and spices into a rich whole. Perfect for everyday meals or special occasions. Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 5 dl milk
- ½ tsp white pepper
- 2 dl rice (or barley groats)
- 1 dl raisins
- A pinch of marjoram
- 1 egg
- 300 g ground pork liver
- 1 tsp salt
- 7 dl water
- 2 onions
- A knob of butter
- 4 tbsp syrup
Instructions:
1. Cook the rice in salted water for about 30 minutes.
2. Chop the onions and lightly brown them in a pan with butter.
3. In a large bowl, mix the cooked rice, browned onions, raisins, ground liver, milk, egg, white pepper, marjoram, and syrup.
4. Combine all the ingredients well.
5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and smooth the top.
6. Bake at 175°C (350°F) for about 60 minutes, until the top is nicely browned.
