A simple and budget-friendly liver casserole that is a great alternative to ready-made meals. It’s easy to prepare and tastes delicious! Preparation Time: 1 hour

Ingredients:
- 400 g liver (beef or pork)
- 2 dl short-grain rice
- 1 onion
- 1 dl cream
- 1 dl milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp syrup
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- Butter (for sautéing)
Instructions:
1. Cook the short-grain rice according to package instructions and let it cool.
2. Sauté the chopped onion in butter in a pan until soft.
3. Mince the liver and add it to the pan with the onion, cooking until it is done.
4. In a bowl, mix together the cream, milk, eggs, syrup, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg.
5. Add the cooled rice to the liver-onion mixture and stir well.
6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
7. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) for about 45 minutes, or until the top is beautifully golden brown.
