A delicious and wholesome gluten-free bread made with sourdough. Perfect for sandwiches or to enjoy with butter.
Preparation Time: 6 hours (including rising time)
Serving Size: 8 slices
Ingredients:
- 200 g gluten-free flour blend
- 100 g gluten-free sourdough starter
- 300 ml water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp honey or sugar (optional)
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, combine the gluten-free flour blend and salt.
2. Add the sourdough starter and honey (or sugar) to the flour mixture.
3. Gradually pour in the water and mix until a smooth dough forms.
4. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 4-6 hours, or until noticeably risen.
5. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
6. Pour the risen dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and shape it as desired.
7. Allow the dough to rest for another 30 minutes.
8. Bake the bread in the oven for 25-30 minutes, until the top is beautifully golden brown.
9. Let the bread cool before slicing and enjoy!
