Ingredients:
- 1 can (400 g) black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup fresh herbs (e.g., parsley or cilantro), finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Mash the black beans in a bowl using a fork or potato masher until mostly smooth but slightly chunky.
2. Add the rolled oats, onion, garlic, bell pepper, herbs, soy sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
3. Shape the mixture into four patties.
4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
5. Serve the patties with a salad, bread, or dipping sauce.
