Creamy Mushroom Pasta

A delicious and rich dish perfect for a weeknight dinner. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., tagliatelle or penne)
- 250 g fresh mushrooms (e.g., button or porcini mushrooms)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 50 g Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and reserve some of the pasta water.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, and sauté until soft.
3. Add the mushrooms to the skillet and cook until golden brown and the moisture has evaporated.
4. Pour the cream into the skillet and let it simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.
5. Add the drained pasta to the skillet and mix well. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water.
6. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and let it melt into the pasta.
7. Serve immediately topped with fresh parsley.
