Sweet and delightful heart-shaped cookies filled with delicious plum jam. Perfect treat for parties or coffee tables. Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: Makes about 12 cookies
Ingredients:
- 100 g butter - 100 g sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 egg
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 50 ml cream
- Plum jam or fruit filling
- Powdered sugar
Instructions:
1. Cream together the butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Add the egg and mix well. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Gradually add the flour mixture and cream, mixing until a smooth dough forms. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. 2. Roll out the dough in small batches on a well-floured surface to a thin sheet. Use a heart-shaped cutter to cut out cookies. For every second cookie, cut a smaller heart in the center. Transfer the cookies to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
3. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (about 400°F) for approximately 10 minutes or until the cookies are beautifully golden brown.
4. Spread plum jam on the whole heart cookies. Dust the cookies with a hole on top with powdered sugar and gently press them onto the jam-filled cookies.
