A delicious dry cake that improves in flavor after a couple of days or when frozen.
Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 8-10 servings
Ingredients:
- 200 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 300 g all-purpose flour
- 1 dl milk
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 100 g nuts (e.g., walnuts or almonds)
- 100 g dried fruits (e.g., raisins or apricots)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
2. Grease and flour a cake pan.
3. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and vanilla sugar.
6. Gradually add the flour mixture to the batter alternately with the milk, mixing until smooth.
7. Gently fold in the nuts and dried fruits.
8. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
9. Bake in the oven for about 50-60 minutes, or until the cake is done (test with a skewer).
10. Allow the cake to cool before serving.
