These delicious salmon sandwiches are easy to make and perfect for celebrations or snacking. Let the flavor of the salmon soak into the bread in the refrigerator before serving. Preparation Time: 20 minutes + 1 hour in the fridge
Serving Size: 4-6 sandwiches
Ingredients:
- 4 slices of Scandinavian rye bread - 200 g smoked salmon (or gravlax)
- 100 g cream cheese
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp fresh dill (chopped)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lettuce leaves for garnish
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper. 2. Spread the cream cheese mixture onto the slices of rye bread.
3. Place the salmon slices on top of the cream cheese.
4. Cover the sandwiches with another slice of bread.
5. Wrap the sandwiches in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour to allow the flavors to meld.
6. If desired, cut the sandwiches into rounds using a wine glass or serve them whole.
7. Garnish with lettuce leaves before serving.
