Delicious and nutty Lion Bars, perfect for a snack or a treat for parties.
Preparation Time: 30 min + chilling time
Serving Size: About 12 bars
Ingredients:
- 2 cups peanut butter
- 2 cups light syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 2 cups chopped nuts
- 5 cups rice cereal
- 250 g dark chocolate
Instructions:
1. In a saucepan, heat the peanut butter, syrup, sugar, and vanilla sugar until the sugars dissolve.
2. Stir in the chopped nuts and rice cereal until well combined.
3. Pour the mixture into a rectangular loaf pan lined with plastic wrap and flatten the surface.
4. Allow it to chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
5. Once set, turn the mixture out onto a cutting board and cut into bars a few centimeters thick.
6. Melt the dark chocolate and dip the bars in chocolate as desired.
7. Let the chocolate set before serving.
