Ingredients

- 5 carrots
- 1 piece of rye bread (about 30g)
- 1 bunch of parsley
- 1 large leek
- 1 beef broth cube
- 1 piece of rutabaga (about 200g)
- 2 large onions
- 1 tablespoon salt (to taste)
- 10 whole allspice berries
- 1 piece of celery (about 200g)
- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 400g diced beef
- 1.5 liters of water

Instructions

1. Peel and chop the carrots, rutabaga, celery, and onions into small pieces.
2. Melt the butter in a large pot and add the diced beef. Brown the meat lightly.
3. Add the chopped vegetables (carrots, rutabaga, celery, and onions) to the pot and sauté for a few minutes.
4. Add the leek and allspice berries, mixing well.
5. Pour the water into the pot and add the beef broth cube. Bring the soup to a boil.
6. Reduce the heat and let the soup simmer on low for about 30-40 minutes, until the vegetables are tender and the meat is cooked.
7. Season with salt and add the chopped parsley just before serving.
8. Serve the soup with rye bread.
