A delicious meat and vegetable casserole that combines flavorful ground beef and colorful vegetable strips, perfect for the whole family! Preparation Time: 45 minutes
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 5 dl skim milk - 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
- 1 onion
- 0.5 tsp basil
- 250 g whole grain rye bread
- 250 g ground beef (10% fat)
- 2 eggs
- 250 g (1 pack) frozen vegetable strips
- 6 tsp margarine (40% fat)
- 5 dl macaroni
Instructions:
1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions and drain.2. Peel and chop the onion. Heat the margarine in a pan and sauté the onion until soft.
3. Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned. Season with salt, black pepper, and basil.
4. Stir in the vegetable strips and cook for a few more minutes.
5. Combine the cooked macaroni and hot milk with the meat and vegetable mixture.
6. Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk lightly. Add the eggs to the mixture and stir well.
7. Grease a baking dish and pour the mixture into it. Crumble the whole grain rye bread on top.
8. Bake in a 200°C (392°F) oven for about 30 minutes, until the top is beautifully golden brown.
