Ingredients:
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
3. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the shrimp to the skillet.
4. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
5. Pour in the lemon juice and add the lemon zest. Stir to combine.
6. Season with red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to taste.
7. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
