Ingredients:
- 2 onions
- 4 cloves of garlic
- About 1 kg of potatoes
- 100 g vegan butter
- Salt and black pepper
- 2 dl vegetable broth (or water with half a stock cube)
- Fresh thyme
Instructions:
1. Peel the onions, cut them in half, and slice them.
2. Peel the garlic cloves and slice them thinly.
3. Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly using a mandoline or knife.
4. Heat 50 g of vegan butter in a skillet and sauté the onions until soft.
5. Add the garlic to the skillet and sauté for a moment longer.
6. Grease a baking dish with the remaining vegan butter.
7. Arrange the potatoes upright in the dish, alternating with the onion and garlic mixture.
8. Season the potatoes with salt, black pepper, and fresh thyme.
9. Pour the vegetable broth over the potatoes.
10. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 45-60 minutes, until the potatoes are tender and the top is crispy.
11. Let it sit for a moment before serving.
