A simple and delicious pasta dish featuring fresh mushrooms and cream, perfect for a weeknight dinner. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or penne)
- 250 g mushrooms
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 200 ml cream
- 50 g Parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve a bit of the pasta water.
2. Slice the mushrooms.
3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for a few minutes until soft.
4. Add the mushrooms and cook until golden brown and tender.
5. Pour in the cream and stir well. Let the mixture simmer on low heat for a few minutes.
6. Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed for a creamier consistency. Season with salt and pepper.
7. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese.
8. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
