Chocolate Laskiaispullat

A delightful combination of chocolate and sweet buns, perfect for celebrating Laskiainen. Preparation Time: 1.5 hours
Serving Size: 12 buns
Ingredients:
- 5 dl all-purpose flour- 2 dl milk
- 1 dl sugar
- 50 g butter
- 25 g fresh yeast
- 1 dl cocoa powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cardamom
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 dl Nutella (or other chocolate spread)
- 1 egg (for brushing)
Instructions:
1. Warm the milk until lukewarm and dissolve the fresh yeast in it.2. Add melted butter, sugar, salt, cardamom, vanilla sugar, and cocoa powder. Mix well.
3. Gradually incorporate the all-purpose flour and knead the dough for about 10 minutes until elastic.
4. Let the dough rise covered with a cloth in a warm place for about 30-40 minutes, until doubled in size.
5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and divide it into 12 pieces. Shape the pieces into round buns.
6. Place the buns on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and let them rise for another 20 minutes.
7. Brush the buns with beaten egg and bake at 225°C (437°F) for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
8. Allow the buns to cool before filling them with Nutella.
