A delicious and hearty dish perfect for family gatherings. Its flavor improves as it rests after baking. Preparation Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Serving Size: 6 servings
Ingredients:
- 9 lasagna sheets
- 400 g ground beef
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 400 g canned crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 250 g ricotta cheese
- 200 g mozzarella cheese
- 100 g parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
1. Heat the olive oil in a pan. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sauté until they are soft.
2. Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, and basil.
3. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste, mix well, and let simmer for about 15 minutes.
4. Prepare a baking dish: start with a layer of meat sauce, then a layer of lasagna sheets.
5. Add a layer of ricotta and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
6. Continue layering until all ingredients are used, finishing with a cheese layer on top.
7. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is golden.
8. Remove the lasagna from the oven and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes before serving.
