This delicious lasagna is full of flavor and makes a perfect meal for family or friends. Preparation Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
Serving Size: 6-8
Ingredients:
- 9 lasagna sheets
- 500 g ground beef (or a mix)
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 400 g crushed tomatoes
- 200 g tomato sauce
- 200 g ricotta cheese
- 200 g mozzarella cheese
- 100 g parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. Peel and chop the onion and garlic. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet and sauté the onion and garlic for a few minutes.
3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Season with salt, black pepper, oregano, and basil.
4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce. Let it simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
5. Lightly grease a baking dish. Start assembling the lasagna: place a layer of the meat mixture at the bottom, followed by lasagna sheets, ricotta cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Continue layering until all ingredients are used, finishing with the meat mixture and sprinkling parmesan cheese on top.
6. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the oven for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the top is beautifully golden brown.
7. Allow the lasagna to rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
