Ingredients:
- 500 g carrots
- 500 g potatoes
- 300 g rutabaga
- 200 g onions
- 2 dl cream
- 2 dl milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 dl breadcrumbs
Instructions:
1. Peel and chop the carrots, potatoes, and rutabaga into evenly sized cubes.
2. Boil the vegetables in salted water for about 15-20 minutes, until soft.
3. Drain the vegetables and mash them together with the onions.
4. Stir in the cream, milk, butter, sugar, salt, black pepper, and thyme until well combined.
5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and smooth the surface.
6. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs evenly on top.
7. Bake at 200°C (about 400°F) for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is beautifully golden brown.
