A delicious rutabaga and potato mash that makes a perfect side dish for any meal. Simple to prepare, it highlights the natural flavors of the vegetables. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 400 g potatoes - 300 g rutabaga
- 2 dl cooking liquid (from potatoes/rutabaga)
- Salt to taste
- Butter or oil (optional)
Instructions:
1. Peel the potatoes and rutabaga. Cut them into small cubes. 2. Boil the potatoes and rutabaga in salted water for about 15-20 minutes, until tender.
3. Reserve the cooking liquid and transfer the potatoes and rutabaga to a pot.
4. Mash the potatoes and rutabaga using a potato masher or fork.
5. Add reserved cooking liquid as needed to achieve the desired consistency.
6. Season with salt and add butter or oil if desired.
7. Serve warm.
