A delicious and hearty bread perfect for both everyday meals and special occasions.

Ingredients

- 465 g water
- 1 packet dry yeast
- Approximately 670 g semi-coarse wheat flour
- 200 g wheat flakes
- 2 tsp Fiber Husk (flour conditioner)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp honey or sugar (optional)

Instructions

1. Dissolve the dry yeast in warm water and let it sit for about 5 minutes until activated.
2. In a bowl, combine the semi-coarse wheat flour, wheat flakes, Fiber Husk, and salt.
3. Add the activated yeast mixture to the flour mixture and stir well. If using, add honey or sugar.
4. Knead the dough by hand or in a mixer for about 10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
5. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and shape it into your desired loaf shape.
7. Place the loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
8. Preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C for fan ovens).
9. Make a few slashes on the top of the loaf and bake it in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped.
10. Allow the bread to cool on a rack before slicing.
