Delicious sweet pastries that make your May Day celebrations special. These doughnuts are easy to make and taste heavenly! Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 12 doughnuts
Ingredients:
- 500 g all-purpose flour- 2 dl milk
- 50 g fresh yeast
- 100 g sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 100 g butter
- 1 tsp cardamom
- 1 liter oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for decoration
Instructions:
1. Warm the milk until it is lukewarm and dissolve the fresh yeast in it.2. Add the sugar, salt, eggs, and cardamom. Mix well.
3. Gradually add the all-purpose flour and knead the dough until smooth.
4. Incorporate the softened butter and knead the dough for another 5-10 minutes.
5. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and roll it out to about 1 cm thick.
7. Cut out round shapes from the dough and make a hole in the center of each.
8. Allow the doughnuts to rise for another 15 minutes.
9. Heat the oil in a pot to 180°C (356°F) and fry the doughnuts until golden brown.
10. Remove the fried doughnuts and place them on paper towels to cool.
11. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
