Delicious Finnish cinnamon rolls, perfect for coffee breaks or a sweet snack. Soft and spiced, they melt in your mouth!
Preparation Time: 2 hours (including rising time)
Serving Size: about 20 pieces

Ingredients:

- 5 dl milk
- 100 g room temperature butter
- 15 dl all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 dl brown sugar
- 1 packet yeast
- 1 tbsp cardamom
- 150 g butter (for filling)
- 1 egg (for dough)

Instructions:

1. Warm the milk until it is lukewarm and crumble the yeast into it.
2. Add the egg, salt, brown sugar, and cardamom to the milk mixture. Mix well.
3. Gradually add some of the flour to the mixture and knead until the dough is elastic.
4. Incorporate the room temperature butter and the remaining flour gradually. Knead the dough for about 10-15 minutes.
5. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
6. Roll out the risen dough into a flat sheet and spread melted butter on top.
7. Evenly sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over the buttered dough.
8. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut it into 2-3 cm thick pieces.
9. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
10. Bake at 225°C for about 10-15 minutes, until the rolls are beautifully golden brown.
