These delightful cinnamon rolls are the perfect coffee treat that will melt hearts and taste buds!
Preparation Time: 2 hours (including rising time)
Serving Size: About 12 pieces
Ingredients:
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 25 g fresh yeast
- 200 ml milk
- 75 g sugar
- 75 g butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cardamom
- 1 egg
Filling:
- 75 g butter (softened)
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
- 100 g sugar
Topping:
- 1 egg (for brushing)
- Pearl sugar
Instructions:
1. Warm the milk to body temperature and dissolve the crumbled yeast into it.
2. Add sugar, salt, cardamom, and melted butter. Mix well.
3. Gradually add the flour to the mixture and knead until the dough is elastic and pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
4. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
5. Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1 cm thick.
6. Spread softened butter on top, then sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
7. Roll the rectangle tightly and cut into 2-3 cm thick slices.
8. Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
9. Brush the cinnamon rolls with beaten egg and sprinkle with pearl sugar.
10. Bake at 200°C (392°F) for about 12-15 minutes, or until they are beautifully golden brown.
