Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked beans (e.g., black beans or chickpeas)
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 small carrot, grated
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil for frying
- 1/2 cup fresh herbs (e.g., parsley or basil), chopped
Instructions:
1. Mash the cooked beans in a bowl until fairly smooth.
2. Add the rolled oats, chopped onion, crushed garlic, grated carrot, salt, black pepper, paprika, and chopped herbs. Mix well.
3. Shape the mixture into patties, about 6-8 pieces.
4. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
5. Fry the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
6. Serve warm, for example with a salad or yogurt sauce.
