Delicious sweet buns filled with caramel whipped cream. A perfect treat for Shrove Tuesday! Preparation Time: 1 hour (plus rising time)
Serving Size: 12 buns
Ingredients:
- 5 dl milk- 50 g fresh yeast
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cardamom
- 1 dl butter
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 dl eggs (about 2 eggs)
- 10 dl all-purpose flour
- Caramel whipped cream for filling
- Powdered sugar for decoration
Instructions:
1. Warm the milk to a lukewarm temperature and dissolve the fresh yeast in it.2. Add sugar, salt, cardamom, and melted butter. Mix well.
3. Gradually add the eggs and flour. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it is elastic.
4. Let the dough rise under a cloth for about 30-45 minutes until it doubles in size.
5. Divide the dough into 12 pieces and shape them into buns.
6. Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rise for another 20-30 minutes.
7. Bake the buns at 200°C (392°F) for about 10-12 minutes until they are golden brown.
8. Allow the buns to cool and then cut them open.
9. Fill the buns with caramel whipped cream and sift powdered sugar on top.
