A quick and delicious weeknight meal that combines the flavors of pasta and ham. Preparation time is only 20 minutes and serves four.

Ingredients:

- 300 g pasta (such as penne or fusilli)
- 200 g ham (diced)
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 400 g tomato sauce
- 100 g cream
- 1 dl grated cheese (such as mozzarella or parmesan)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and set aside.
2. In a skillet, heat a splash of oil and add the chopped onion. Sauté until soft.
3. Add the diced ham and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking for a few minutes.
4. Pour in the tomato sauce and cream, stirring well, and let it simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
5. Mix the cooked pasta into the sauce and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Serve the pasta on plates, topped with grated cheese and fresh basil.
