This delicious and quick tomato ham pasta is a perfect family meal that comes together effortlessly.

Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli)
- 200 g ham (diced)
- 1 can (400 g) crushed tomatoes
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil (for garnish, optional)
- Parmesan cheese (grated, for serving)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve a bit of the cooking water.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
3. Add the diced ham to the skillet and cook for a few minutes until the ham is slightly browned.
4. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and add oregano, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer on low heat for about 5-10 minutes.
5. Mix the cooked pasta into the sauce. If needed, add a little reserved cooking water for a better consistency.
6. Serve the pasta topped with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese.
