A quick and easy ham and macaroni casserole that delights the whole family. This delicious dish is effortlessly prepared and lasts for several days. Preparation Time: 15 min + 15 min baking
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 250 g macaroni - 200 g diced ham
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 200 ml cream
- 200 ml milk
- 2 eggs
- 100 g grated cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- Butter or margarine for frying
Instructions:
1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside. 2. In a pan, heat butter or margarine and sauté the onion until soft.
3. Add the diced ham to the onion and cook for a few more minutes.
4. In a bowl, mix together the cream, milk, eggs, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
5. Combine the cooked macaroni with the ham and onion mixture, then transfer to a baking dish.
6. Pour the cream mixture over the macaroni and stir well.
7. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top of the casserole.
8. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for about 15 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
9. Allow to cool for a moment before serving.
