A delicious Finnish cinnamon roll, perfect for a sweet treat. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 12 rolls
Ingredients:
- 1 portion of sweet dough
- 50g margarine
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 egg (for brushing)
- Pearl sugar (for topping)
Instructions:
1. Roll out the sweet dough into a flat rectangle.
2. Spread margarine over the dough, then sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
3. Fold the dough: first, fold one-third from the right side to the center, then fold one-third from the left side to meet it, creating a three-layered dough.
4. Cut the dough into strips about 2 cm wide, ensuring the ends are from the folded edges.
5. Take each strip and twist it into a round shape to form a roll.
6. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Brush the rolls with beaten egg and sprinkle with pearl sugar.
8. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for about 10-15 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown.
