Delicious and soft sweet rolls perfect for coffee breaks or simply indulging. Preparation Time: 1 hour (plus rising time)
Serving Size: About 12 rolls
Ingredients:
- 2.5 dl milk
- 25 g fresh yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 tsp cardamom
- 1 egg
- Approximately 10 dl all-purpose flour
- 100 g butter (softened)
- 1 dl powdered sugar
Instructions:
1. Dissolve the yeast in warm milk.
2. Add salt, sugar, cardamom, and egg. Mix well.
3. Gradually add all-purpose flour and knead the dough until it is elastic.
4. Incorporate the softened butter and knead for a little longer.
5. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 30-60 minutes).
6. Roll the dough into a rectangular sheet (approximately 50x35 cm).
7. Melt the butter and mix in the powdered sugar. Spread this mixture evenly over the dough.
8. Roll the sheet tightly and cut into pieces about 3-4 cm thick.
9. Place the pieces in muffin tins and let them rise for another 15-20 minutes.
10. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F) and bake the rolls for about 10-12 minutes until they are beautifully golden brown.
