Ingredients:
- 1 kg cabbage
- 200 g butter
- 2 dl cream
- 1 dl milk
- 2 dl rice
- 1 onion
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 100 g grated cheese (e.g., cheddar)
Instructions:
1. Peel and chop the onion.
2. Cut the cabbage into strips.
3. Melt the butter in a large pot and add the onion. Sauté the onion until soft.
4. Add the cabbage strips to the pot and cook for about 10 minutes until slightly softened.
5. Stir in the rice, salt, black pepper, and thyme.
6. Pour the cream and milk over the mixture and stir well.
7. Let it simmer on low heat with a lid for about 30 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.
8. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle grated cheese on top.
9. Bake at 200°C (392°F) for about 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is golden brown.
10. Allow to cool for a moment before serving.
