A delicious and impressive cake made from a sponge roll, filled with white chocolate mousse. This cake is sure to catch attention at any celebration!
Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 8-10 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 sponge roll
- 200 g white chocolate
- 2 dl heavy cream
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 2 gelatin sheets
- 3 tbsp water
Instructions:
1. Melt the white chocolate in a double boiler or microwave. Let it cool slightly.
2. Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water for about 5 minutes. Then, mix the softened gelatin into the melted white chocolate.
3. Whip the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla sugar until stiff peaks form.
4. Gently fold the cooled white chocolate mixture into the whipped cream.
5. Cut the sponge roll into three equal parts. Place the first layer on a serving plate.
6. Spread some of the white chocolate mousse on top. Add the second layer of sponge roll and repeat the process. Finish with the last layer.
7. Cover the cake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
8. Before serving, decorate the cake with berries or chocolate shavings if desired.
